From journey to storytelling: the tale of a 360-degree motorcycling experience

Today, we take you on a journey to discover Roland’s experience, a motorcyclist who doesn’t just live his adventures but shares them with thousands of enthusiasts on his YouTube channel. For years, he has been telling the road with authenticity, inspiring his followers with his experiences, technical advice, and his inexhaustible passion for motorcycle travel.
Tell us a little about yourself and how you started to travel by motorcycle. How long ago?
My name is Roland, I live in Austria and I started to travel by motorbike about 40 years ago.
Which bike are you riding today?
At the moment my bike is a Moto Guzzi V85 TT.
Your first motorcycle trip?
My first motorcycle trip was together with my wife to the Dolomites and the Passo Stelvio on a Yamaha SR 500 with 33 HP.
How do you prepare your bike before a trip? How do you choose the right equipment?
I am experienced because of travelling every year since then. I have a long checklist with all the accessories necessarry for a successful bike trip. When it´s a longer trip, I sometimes change oil and tyres before, check the boiling point of the brake-fluid and also check the whole brake-system and the valve-clearance of my V2-Twin.
Can you describe a memorable journey you made? Is there any particular moment that you remember with affection or that left an indelible mark?
The last journey to the Route de Grandes Alpes gave me the chance to visit Lake Como, Mandello del lLario, the “Red Gate” of the M.G. factory – and very remarkable: Visiting the MISTRAL-factory and the wonderful sales & marketing-lady Alice.
Are there things you would like to know before you started travelling? Which piece of advice do you like to share?

What are your next projects or dreams related to motorcycle trips?
This year we will do several trips to Slovenia, Northern Italy and maybe Poland.

Through his YouTube channel, he shares not only breathtaking roads and landscapes but also emotions and experiences that inspire other motorcyclists to embark on their own adventures.
